Where you stay and how you get support can matter more than the destination view during the first part of recovery.
Prioritize clinical instructions, medications, hydration, mobility restrictions, and immediate follow-up. Do not schedule sightseeing by default.
Choose accommodation for access, stairs/elevators, kitchen needs, caregiver support, transport, pharmacy access, and proximity to follow-up.
Use the treating clinician's clearance and procedure-specific risks, not a prebooked vacation schedule, to decide when to fly.
